I recently opened a gallery in Doc's grandmother's house in Colo, Iowa. We're very excited about it! I am starting to teach "Paint and Sip" classes this month, and have plans for other types of classes later.
The house is PERFECT for a gallery space. The living room is large enough to accomodate up to 12 students comfortably, and there are huge floor to ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light.
We have set up a bar, using a cabinet that is an original piece from the house--found in the garage--where we can serve snacks and provide ice, glasses and corkscrew for classes and gallery openings.
There is plenty of space to showcase my art and jewelry, and I plan to host other local artists as well. Stay tuned!
